Our Direction
We started Wesley Andrews with a hope to contribute small moments of beauty into the everyday.
We wanted a place where the passing of time was a bit easier to forget. We wanted a place where conversations flowed—where the presence of other people, the connection of a shared experience could be the most important thing to notice for an afternoon. A place for optimism and ideas to inhabit us, a place for honesty and simpler times to reign a bit freer.
It was a bit of an ambitious plan for one little cafe.
But surprisingly, even now, it seems to be working. Folks gather around cups of coffee made with delicate care. And we're still getting into rants and raves with a teapot passed around the table. Our neighborhood of Whittier has made of our humble shop a place to connect with one another. What started with a love for hot drinks during the cold of winter has turned into a real community of neighbors, and we are ever grateful for it.
As we've expanded into roasting and working with new partners both local and around the country, our aim remains the same: to help all the places who serve our offerings to serve their neighbors as well, by creating space for us to come together.
We owe so much to others; we hope our offerings exemplify the heart and soul that naturally result from pooling personalities and working with one another.
Our coffee selections are harvested in direct partnership with upstanding farmers and co-ops who live by the same convictions we strive toward, and our tea crop is sourced from friends in China who have taught us most everything we know. Here in the Whittier neighborhood of Minneapolis, we do our best in bringing out the beauty of these simple drinks.
